My Services

At Little Steps Shipwreck Coast, I offer a range of family-centred, trauma-informed services that support children, families, professionals and work places. Each service is designed to support wellbeing, clarity, and safe relationships.

Independent assessments to support children’s wellbeing in family law matters.

Under the Family Law Act (Regulation 40), I provide Family and Child Impact Reports for families engaged in court proceedings. These reports are focused on the best interests of the child and are informed by direct engagement with children and both parents or carers.

The assessment considers a range of developmental, relational, and safety factors and is presented to the Court to assist in decision-making.

Who it’s for?:

Therapeutic Play Support

COMING SOON - REFERRALS OPEN!

Helping children and families find their voice through play.

Therapeutic play creates a safe and supportive space for children to process big feelings, develop coping skills, and build resilience. Using play activities, children are able to express themselves in ways that feel natural, safe and empowering.

How Therapeutic play helps

  • Supports children to express feelings safely

  • Builds confidence and resilience

  • Encourages healthy coping strategies

  • Helps children adjust to life changes

Who it can support

Therapeutic play can be especially helpful for children who are:

  • Feeling anxious, sad, or withdrawn

  • Struggling with big emotions

  • Navigating medical or family changes

  • In need of extra support during challenging times

At Little Steps Shipwreck Coast, I integrate therapeutic play into my child-focused practice to ensure every child feels heard, supported, and respected. Opportunities can be created for growth, healing and hope.

Please note: Little Steps offer Therapeutic play activities designed to support children’s coping, confidence, and resilience. This is not formal Play Therapy. Families seeking specialised Play Therapy should consult a qualified Play Therapist.

Parent Consultations

Separation and family change can be overwhelming - not just for children, but for parents too. At Little Steps Shipwreck Coast, I offer supportive, non-judgmental consultations to help caregivers feel more confident in guiding their children through times of transitions.

These sessions provide a safe space to:

  • Share concerns about your child’s wellbeing

  • Learn practical strategies to support children through change.

  • Explore ways to strengthen resilience and connection in your family.

  • Access information and resources about navigating mediation and the family law system (please note: this is general guidance, not legal advice)

Parent consultations are especially helpful for newly separated families, offering reassurance and practice tools to help children feel safe, valued and understood.
